Alan R. Friedman is a senior financial and management professional with over thirty years of progressive experience. His industry experience includes manufacturing, distribution, financial and service companies. Specifically, he has worked with chemical companies, wire rod manufacturers, large format graphic printers, private-label packagers, contractors, law firms and banks, among others. He has been Vice President of Finance for a privately-held specialty chemical manufacturer, Group Controller for a Netherlands based manufacturer and distributor of machine tool parts and accessories, and a management consultant with a big four CPA firm. While with the chemical manufacturer, he provided the infrastructure to support a six-fold increase in sales with a larger improvement in profitability. His background includes mergers and acquisitions, turnarounds and workouts, bank financing, cash flow management, forecasting, business process improvement and cost/profitability analysis. He has lectured frequently on cost accounting, budgeting and profit planning. Combining his experience from industry and consulting, Alan has assisted many companies in improving performance. He has prepared numerous financial plans for companies securing financing. He has reorganized operations to perform more efficiently and analyzed operations to identify opportunities to improve economic results. Experience includes advising lenders in maximizing recovery from troubled clients.
Mr. Friedman received a B.S. in Accounting and Economics from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from the University of Chicago with concentrations in Finance and International Business. He is a Certified Public Accountant and has been president of various fraternal and alumni groups.
